HCN Day of Giving

(Coming  Soon)

HCN and its Associates are committed to doing the absolute most for our communities. As part of our corporate social responsibility, HCN’s Day of Giving Program allows Associates to volunteer to support local community partners. A maximum of 8-hours annually is provided to all eligible full-time Associates to volunteer for the community organization selected by Health Choice Network.

The HCN “Angels Project” Initiative began in 2016 when Associates decided to forgo giving gifts to each other and “Adopt an Angel” instead. Christmas is reminiscent of family and happiness and each Angel represents a gift for a child. With our support, the Angels Project Initiative has helped to create a tradition of wonderful memories and something that the kids look forward to every year. As a family, the kids and caregivers open their gifts together on Christmas morning and enjoy a Christmas dinner sponsored by HCN and our Associates.

His House Fundraising Efforts

His House Kids Keeper
A Kids Keeper is a special friend of His House Children’s Home who provides a backbone of support for the children through monthly giving. At HCN, we have adopted this program and it is offered to all Associates, as we promote a culture of giving back in hopes of making a difference in a child’s life. Funds are payroll deducted and His House receives a monthly transfer to help sustain important programs such as family recruitment, child placement and foster family support.

Additional Giving Opportunities

Breedlove
HCN partners with Breedlove Foods, Inc., a commercial-sized non-profit food processor that has helped fight hunger in more than 70 countries, to provide food relief to community health center patients unable to access food during quarantine.

Movember
HCN supports Movember to help change the face of men’s health. Throughout November, HCN Associates fundraise to raise awareness on men’s health, specifically mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Our ‘Mo Grow Contestants’ show their support by growing out their mustaches and beards during November to raise awareness and help make a difference in a father, a brother, a son, a friend, a partner, or any man’s life.

Read to Learn
Read to Learn Books for Free is a program of The Children's Trust in partnership with Miami Dade College. It encourages children and parents to read together by placing bookshelves full of free books in locations throughout Miami-Dade County where parents and children visit together often, including clinics and doctors’ offices, the Juvenile Justice Center, and Community Service Centers. Read to Learn Books for Free is working hard to make free books available in diverse Miami-Dade County neighborhoods, putting more books in the hands of our children.
