Associations

HCN partners with Advocates for Community Health (ACH) to provide enhanced policy, advocacy, and technological support to drive increased resources and access to quality care in underserved communities nationwide.

HCN’s Chief Information Officer and other senior healthcare IT leaders are members of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) to collaborate, exchange ideas, develop professionally and advocate the effective use of information management to improve the health and care throughout the communities they serve.

HCN collaborates with FACHC to advocate for community-based health care programs in Florida.  As the patient care advocate for Florida Community Health Centers, FACHC provides essential equipment for all emergencies to help protect the Health Care Heroes at Community Health Centers.

HCN is an Associate Member of Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) to help provide access to health care benefits and services to businesses, individuals and families across the state of Florida.  As the statewide trade association representing commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage health insurers and managed care organizations, FAHP advocates for public policy focused on enhancing access to high quality, affordable health care through a competitive marketplace.

HCN is a proud member of HIMSS Organizational Affiliate Program HCN attends the annual HIMSS conference to present our research and analytics on best practices in health information and technology.

HCN is a proud member of NACHC. HCN collaborates with NACHC to promote efficient, high quality, comprehensive healthcare for all, to advocate for Community Health Centers, and to support the growth and development of community-based health center programs.

HCN partners with South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association (SFHHA) to improve the efficient delivery of quality healthcare services to our communities by championing collaboration and communication among leaders across the healthcare continuum. Agencies

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). HCN partners with CMS to help provide patients with meaningful information about quality and costs to be active health care consumers.

The Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) provides funds to community health centers so they can provide access to high quality, family oriented, comprehensive primary and preventive health care for people who are low-income, uninsured or face other obstacles to getting health care.

HCN partners with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans, by providing for effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services.

HRSA works to improve access to health care and enhance health systems of care for community health centers who are geographically isolated and/or economically or medically vulnerable.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) helps fund medical research for community health centers to make important discoveries that improve health and save lives. HCN and the NIH have collaborated on multiple projects, including the Million Hearts initiative to improve cardiovascular health for all.

HCN partners with The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to support the adoption of health information technology and the promotion of nationwide health information exchange to improve health care at community health centers.

Academia

HCN partners with Florida International University (FIU) to offer Member Center Associates Professional Development Programs, tuition assistance and scholarships for certain graduate programs. In addition, FIU provides ongoing funding for research and education activities directly benefiting the patients, practices and communities in our network.

HCN collaborates with the Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science at Indiana University to develop and implement community based and data driven research initiatives.

HCN partners with Nova Southeastern University (NSU) to offer Member Center Associates Professional Development Programs, tuition assistance and scholarships for certain graduate programs. In addition, NSU provides ongoing funding for research and education activities directly benefiting the patients, practices and communities in our network.

HCN collaborates with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) to develop and implement community based and data driven research initiatives.

HCN collaborates with the Diabetes Institute at the University of Florida (UF) to develop and implement community based and data driven research initiatives.

HCN collaborates with the Department of Public Health Science at the University of Miami (UM) to develop and implement community based and data driven research initiatives. In addition, HCN partners with the UM Clinical & Translational Science Institute to conduct quality, secondary data analysis and community-driven research projects.
